The World Is Burning
Swimming in its own Disreguard of Poverty
Ignoring the cries of the hungry
Children Dying
People lying
Saying things will get better
Ha, they won't
Communities will continue to their ultimate downfall
They will parish until we get up and do something
We sit around in our homes
While a child in Africa Dies
Entire countries starve to death
Epidemics sweep entire continents
Destroying families around the globe
What can we do?
Everything.
Feel guilty?
You should.
Our whole nation should.
Our selfishness has caused this
Ignorance is becoming obvious
Every time a child dies
We should feel their pain
We should be the one weeping.
But no
The government just shrugs.
"Oh things will get better."
Not unless we the people of America do something about it.
